Update Regarding 2020 Fruita Fall Festival
It is with a heavy heart that the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce announces the cancellation of the 2020 Fruita Fall Festival. This decision did not come easily. After consulting with Mesa County Public Health on their guidance for outdoor events based on the changing rules and regulations from the State of Colorado regarding COVID-19, our Board of Directors voted to cancel the 2020 Fruita Fall Festival. In these uncertain times, the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce will be unable to hold the festival while safely following the current state requirements.
Our staff is reaching out to current vendors and event sponsors to work with any necessary refunds or payment allocations. If you would like to review the Guidance for Outdoor Events released by Mesa County Public Health on July 15, 2020 based on the State of Colorado’s COVID-19 rules and regulations for large gatherings, please visit: www.health.mesacounty.us/covid19/
We appreciate the staff at Mesa County Public Health and Jeff Kuhr, Executive Director of MCPH, for continually working with our organization to clarify the state’s guidance measures contributing to the safety of our community. We are working closely with Mesa County Public Health, City of Fruita, and our Board of Directors to determine ways in which we can continue to serve our community and contribute to the resilience and prosperity of our local businesses. We understand that it is a difficult and uncertain time for our community, businesses, vendors, and local event organizers.
The Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce continues to be actively involved in supporting our members and community through hosting the Fruita Farmers Market every Saturday morning in Reed Park and various networking opportunities for our business community.
We encourage you to continue to shop and support local now more than ever. We appreciate your understanding and support.
Please stay tuned for details on the 2021 Fruita Fall Festival.
