SKIP your way to supporting local farmers and producers.
The Small Business Scavenger Hunt will run from November 23 to December 7. Please complete this activity at your own pace and remember to practice social distancing and wear a mask when entering indoor facilities. Please do not participate in this scavenger hunt if you or someone you know have recently been exposed to COVID-19.
THREE WAYS TO WIN PRIZES:
- Find Local – Complete the scavenger hunt! There are nine (9) locations plus three (3) bonus locations on Fruita’s South Side. The scavenger hunt must be completed in order using the QR code scanner on a phone. The final scavenger hunt location will take you to a sign up page where the FACC will receive information stating you’ve completed the scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt is worth one entry PLUS a bonus entry for completing the South Side Challenge.
- Share Local – Take a selfie with Greta the Dino! Tag BOTH the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce and Bank of Colorado. Privacy setting must allow Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce to view your post. Your selfie is equal to one entry!
- Shop Local – Put your money where your mouth is! Support small business by shopping local, eating local, or playing local. For every $20 spent, you will receive two entries to win a prize. Please submit a photo of your receipt to the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is a QR Code? How do I use it?
A QR Code is a two-dimensional barcode that can be read by smartphones. The barcode will take you to a webpage that will display your next clue for the Small Business Scavenger Hunt. Most smartphones come equipped with the ability to read QR codes, or free apps can be downloaded from your cell phone provider’s App Store.
QR Codes for IOS/Apple Devices:
Quickly add a QR Code reader shortcut to your phone’s control center (the menu that appears when you ‘swipe up’) by visiting Settings → Control Center → Customize Controls →Add QR Code Reader.
