2022 Fruita Fall Festival Subevent Applications



Saturday, September 24th at 10:00 am, starting at the intersection of E Aspen & Elm St.

Marching bands, vintage cars, tractors, horses, and floats made by our very own locals and businesses. The Parade has been a tradition of the Fruita Fall Festival since 1914, when the event was called the Cowpunchers’ Reunion. A lot has changed over the decades, but the Parade has always remained an essential part of the celebration.

Sponsored by the Grand Valley Bank, the popular Parade will celebrate this year’s theme: “Good ole Fashioned Fun.”

Outhouse Race

Friday, September 23rd, the Race Begins at 5:30 pm, In Front of the FACC Building.

The Fruita Fall Festival Outhouse Race kicks off a fun weekend of events and festivities. Sponsored by Western Rockies Federal Credit Union, this event brings out a showcase of creatively crafted latrines. There are no crummy cardboard cutouts for this Race.

The Outhouse Race runs in stages, with the winner from each heat moving to the next heat. The First, Second, & Third Place overall winners receive a prize. But the First place winner rolls home with the coveted trophy!

Baking & Canning Contest

Saturday, September 24th, Judging Begins 12 pm; Contest Winners will be Announced at 3:30 pm at Civic Center Stage.

The Fruita Fall Festival Baking & Canning Contest returns to Downtown Fruita! People of all ages are invited to bring their baked and canned goods to enter the Annual Fall Fest Contest. Entries will be judged on presentation, taste, and tie to the festival theme “Good Ole Fashioned Fun.”

Art Walk

Saturday, September 23rd, 4:00 PM, North Mulberry Street  

The Fruita Fall Fest Art Walk is all about the art and artists in our community! Local artists are invited to participate in an evening of art at the 107th Annual Fruita Fall Festival! Paint, craft, and create LIVE at the event and sell your work in the community!

Kids Art Walk

Friday, September 23rd, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, N Mulberry Street

We are so excited to bring the Kids Art Walk to the Fruita Fall Festival presented by Happy Trails Colorado. Open to local kids 16 and under, this is a great opportunity to showcase the creative kids in Fruita and across the Grand Valley.


Beard Rally

Saturday, September 23rd, 4:00 PM, Civic Center Stage  

Showcase those amazing beards, mustaches or partial beards, or you can enter the “fantasy fuzz” category and get creative to make your own beard!

A box of the World Famous Enstrom’s Toffee will go home with the Winner of each category, along with other fun prizes. This event allows people to admire those facial hair masterpieces. Wondering which category you fall into? The application will have event details and fuzz specifications.
