Fruita Fall Festival
Fruita is known for its spectacular festivals. Voted “Best of the West” by The Daily Sentinel‘s readership in 2001, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2014, 2015, and 2016. The Fruita Fall Festival is the granddaddy of festivals on the Western Slope. The event is celebrated on the last full weekend in September. This festival offers three days of events with a parade, outhouse race, carnival, two stages with live music and over 150 various vendors. 2014 marked the 100th Anniversary of the Fall Festival’s beginnings as the Cowpuncher’s Reunion.

Other Local Festivals and Events
From Mike the Headless Chicken to the Fat Tire Festival, Fruita has an active community. Fruita also hosts riverfront concerts, a weekly Farmers Market, FREE Thursday night concert series June-August, summer rodeos, Halloween Trick or Treat Street, and Hometown Christmas and Parade of Lights. There is even a festival celebrating dinosaurs – Dinosaur Days put on by the Museum of Western Colorado.
